Indian Student Organization(ISO) is a part of University of Nevada,Reno (UNR) international student groups. We heartily welcome your interest in our Organization. Indian Student Organization (ISO) was formed with the intention to serve graduate students from India and celebrate Indian culture at the University of Nevada, Reno (UNR). We organize various cultural events, like Diwali and Holi, and showcase Indian culture and cuisine at Night of All Nations every year. We also provide complete support to new incoming students from India by answering their queries about UNR, airport pickup on arrival, temporary accommodation and help them settle down at UNR. About Reno
Reno is the county seat of Washoe County, Nevada, United States. Current estimates place the population of the city at 217,000, which would make Reno the third most populous city in the state of Nevada. Reno lies 26 miles (42 km) north of the Nevada state capital, Carson City, and 22 miles (35 km) north-east of Lake Tahoe in the high desert. Reno shares its eastern border with the city of Sparks. The region is surrounded by high-peaked mountains. The region offers a distinct landscape with high desert hills to valleys with thick vegetation and the Truckee river flowing through mountains to the heart of the city, providing breath catching waterfalls and trails. Reno, known as The Biggest Little City in the World, is famous for its casinos, and is the birthplace of the gaming corporation Harrahs Entertainment. Reno is the corporate headquarters for International Game Technology, which manufactures most of the world's slot machines.

Lake Tahoe
Lake Tahoe is a freshwater lake in the Sierra Nevada, on the border between the U.S. states of California and Nevada, near Carson City. Approximately two-thirds of the shoreline is in California. It is the second deepest lake in the United States,the eleventh deepest on Earth, and the fourth deepest in average depth. The lake and it's surroundings are home for year long recreational activities ranging from para-sailing , hiking in summer to skiing and snowboarding in winter overlooking the mountains and Lake Tahoe. It also houses world class resorts providing picturesque backdrop.
